Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

By creating an account, accessing, or using Recette, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, comply with our Privacy Policy, follow our Community Guidelines, and use the service in accordance with applicable law.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Recette.
• If you are under 18, you may use Recette only with parental or guardian consent.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You may not use Recette if applicable law prohibits your use.

If you use Recette on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activities that occur under your account.

• Keep your password and login methods secure.
• Update your account information if it changes.
• Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You may delete your account through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms users, Recette, or the service.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of the recipes, photos, videos, profile information, comments, and other content you create and share on Recette ("User Content").

Limited license to operate Recette

By posting User Content, you grant Recette a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Host, store, reproduce, and display your content within the services.
• Distribute your content based on your privacy, sharing, and collaboration settings.
• Format or adapt your content for technical compatibility and accessibility.
• Process your content with service providers when needed to operate the services or deliver features you request.
• Create backups and take steps reasonably necessary to maintain and secure the services.

This license is limited to operating, maintaining, securing, and improving Recette. It does not transfer ownership of your content to us. It ends when you delete your content or account, except for content shared publicly or cached by other users.

Public content

If you mark content as public, it may be viewed by any user or visitor, shared through Recette features or by people who can access it, indexed by search engines or other public-facing surfaces if available on the web, and copied or re-shared by others once you choose to make it public.

Your responsibilities

You represent and warrant that you own or have rights to the content you post, that your content does not infringe others' rights, and that your content complies with these Terms and applicable law.

4. Prohibited Conduct and Intellectual Property

You may not use Recette to post illegal, harmful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, or malicious content or to interfere with the proper functioning of the service.

• No scraping, copying, or harvesting data from the service.
• No impersonation, spam, fake accounts, or deceptive conduct.
• No reverse engineering, hacking attempts, malware, or service interference.
• No violations of intellectual property rights or applicable laws.

Recette and its original software, features, design, and functionality are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our services except as expressly permitted.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Recette offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid features may include expanded recipe creation, saves, video capture, AI generations, and other premium tools.

• Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play and may be managed through your device account settings.
• Recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
• Prices may change with notice.
• Refunds are subject to App Store or Play Store policies.
• We may offer free trials, and trial eligibility is determined at our discretion.

6. AI Features and Third-Party Services

Recette integrates with third-party services such as payment processors, authentication providers, AI providers, and social media platforms. We share only the information reasonably necessary for those services to perform the function you request.

AI features are provided "as is" and may not always produce accurate or complete results. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it or sharing it with others.

• Review AI-generated recipes and content before use.
• Verify ingredients, cooking times, temperatures, and instructions.
• Do not rely on AI output as professional culinary, medical, or nutritional advice.

Your use of third-party services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their separate practices or content.

7. Recipe, Food, and Medical Disclaimers

Recipes on Recette may be user-generated, AI-generated, or imported from third-party sources. They are provided for informational purposes only and may contain errors, omissions, unsafe instructions, undisclosed allergens, or incorrect nutritional information.

• Check all ingredients for allergens before preparing or consuming any recipe.
• Verify that recipes are safe for your dietary restrictions, health conditions, and cooking environment.
• Use safe food handling, storage, and cooking practices at all times.
• Cook foods to safe temperatures and use your own judgment.
• Consult a qualified medical or nutritional professional for health-related questions.

Recette is not a medical, nutritional, or dietary service. We do not guarantee that recipes are safe, allergen-free, accurate, professionally tested, or suitable for any specific person or condition.

8. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recette and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, service interruptions, unauthorized access, or third-party conduct.

We are also not liable for food-related injuries, allergic reactions, foodborne illness, dietary issues, kitchen accidents, or other harm resulting from recipes or cooking content obtained through the service.

Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Recette and its affiliates from claims, losses, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of others' rights, or food prepared, served, or consumed using recipes from Recette.

9. Disputes and Governing Law

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at recette@zymgmtco.com to attempt informal resolution.

Except where prohibited by law, disputes relating to these Terms or your use of Recette will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except for small claims court actions, intellectual property disputes, or requests for injunctive relief.

You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions to the fullest extent permitted by law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Recette is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes, Termination, and Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting updated terms in the app or on the website, updating the "Last updated" date, and, when appropriate, sending an in-app notification or email.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Recette for violations of these Terms, illegal or harmful conduct, extended inactivity, requests by law enforcement, or other reasons consistent with applicable law and our service needs.

Upon termination, your right to use Recette ends immediately, and we may delete your account and content subject to applicable law, contractual obligations, and backup retention.
